Bathroom Vanity Countertop: Carrara Marble or Solid Surface?
by: Kristy

I'm getting a new bathroom vanity.

Would you choose between Carrara white marble or arctic fall solid surface?

This is our spare bathroom and will rarely get used.

My tile is all white and I have grey penny tile on the floor. I will have a black vanity and black mirror.

Pros/cons either way? I just can't decide...

==== Countertop Specialty comment:

Personally, I'd go with the White Carrara Marble. Carrara marble is always a favorite with many imitators. It's easy enough to maintain in a lightly used bathroom.

It will also increase the value of your home and wow buyers much more so than solid-surface will.

A marble countertop in the kitchen is where you get into troublesome maintenance issues.

Both surfaces can scratch and both can be damaged by some cleaners and chemicals. Both can be repaired rather easily with the proper products.

Stick to products safe for marble vanities and you'll never have an issue.

But all considered I'd go with Carrara marble.
