White Carrara Marble Vanity with Yellow Stain

by Rob
(Prince George)

QUESTION:

White Carrara Vanity Top has yellow stain. Yellow dye is from a vitamin pill that got wet and was not quickly cleaned off of the counter. You have mentioned on numerous occasions a mixture of talc/peroxide. Is this the cleaning solution to use in this instance? Thanks :-) Rob

ANSWER:

Yeah Rob, I think that's what I'd go with to clean this marble stain. It's possible there could be some type of oil mixed in with it, but its probably the dye.

If the peroxide doesn't work, then you may have to experiment a bit since the chemical needed to remove the stain depends on what type of substance stained the marble.

If you'd like to get a more detailed explanation with complete instructions you can check out our How To Remove Stains guide.

Good Luck,
Ryan
