Washroom/Restroom Marble Floor Urine Stain

QUESTION:How do you remove small urine stain from white marble floor in a two piece washroom/restroom?ANSWER:Urine marble stains can be removed although you likely have two issues... staining and etching.Stains occur when something absorbs into the stone making a dark spot. Etching happens when an acidic or too alkaline substance contacts the marble, travertine or limestone (which are sensitive to acids) corroding the surface leaving a dull and light-colored spot. Urine is acidic and has a color, so it is likely that it first etched and then stained the marble floor. Although if the floor has a honed, tumbled or otherwise non-polished surface you may not notice the etching much.
