Stain Around Faucets Of New Marble Vanity

QUESTION:
Carrera marble vanity top: Vanity top is brand new (about a month) and was sealed at installation. However, there are dark "rings" around the faucets and handles that do not go away like regular water spots even after several days of non-use.
I believe after reading your FAQ site that it is probably caused by the sealant/putty that the plumber used to install the faucets. So is there a brand of sealant/putty that we should use if we remove the faucets, remove the stain and start over? Is it too late?
ANSWER:
Yeah, it sounds like stains from Plumber's Putty or something similar. It isn't too late.
You can remove the stains following instructions in the
Removing Marble Stains Manual.
Once removed, then re-seal the marble vanity faucet using 100% silicone caulk.
Good Luck,
Ryan
