Shine a Dull Marble Countertop

QUESTION:

HOW DO YOU SHINE AN ALREADY DULL MARBLE COUNTERTOP?

ANSWER:

Well, that depends why it is dull.

Maybe it was never meant to be glossy and shiny. Maybe it has a "honed" finish on it that is not a glossy finish.

If this is the case, then you'll have to hire a marble maintenance professional to come in and re-finish the marble countertops to a "polished" finish.

However, if the marble countertops were once shiny and have become dull due to exposure to acidic foods and drinks and/or from using the wrong cleaning products (which are nearly all common and brand name household cleaners), then you can use SCP: Marble Polishing Paste to restore the shine so long as the surface is not rough to the touch.

If the surface is rough, again call a pro... the paste isn't designed to handle such extreme damage.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products for cleaning marble, travertine & marble maintenance, cleaning granite countertops, granite sealers and keeping all your stone and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
