Sealing Arabian Black Granite

QUESTION:

I have a client wanting to install arabian black granite, will this need sealer?

ANSWER:

It likely will, but as with any stone the only sure way to determine if it will or won't need sealing is to water test it.

Get a sample, preferably from the exact slab they want to buy and perform the water test on it. That will give you a definitive answer.

There are some stone varieties/colors out there that never need sealing, but many are borderline and could go either way depending on the batch of slabs... it's a natural product after all, so to seal or not to seal is not... uh... written in stone.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
