Removing Stains on Marble Steam Shower Tile & Grout
QUESTION:
How to remove orange stains appearing in new steam shower on grout in corners and on white marble tiles at edges???
ANSWER:
Are you sure what you are seeing are actually stains and not early signs of mildew?
Because what you are describing sounds more like the gunk that forms often on the grout and in corners of showers when not cleaned often enough.
To clean mildew you'll want to use
BLAST Mildew Remover, which is very effective and safe for use on marble.
If they are stains, then what is staining the grout?
Is the marble white?
White marble has iron deposits. Sometimes in wet environments or when poorly installed on floors or walls or otherwise exposed to constant trapped moisture the marble can get saturated and the iron deposits can rust while the rusty water leaches to the surface causing a yellow-orange stain.
Typically you see this in the marble tile though.... not on the grout and tile edges. It's a possibility, but your explanation leads me to rule it out. So, I'm thinking it's more likely a cleaning/mildew issue.
If after using the BLAST and the "stains" are still there, then you'll find step-by-step instructions how to remove them in the
Removing Stains Manual.
Of course, you'll want to investigate what caused the stains and remove that source from the shower.
