Remove Hard Water Stains on Granite

by Holly hates hard water
(Phoenix, AZ)

QUESTION:

The Uba Tuba granite in my kitchen looks great, except for around the kitchen sink faucet. As the base of the faucet(chrome) hard water / calcium buildup has collected and I'm not sure how to get it off safely. And assuming once it's off, is there some kind of application (an oily one?) that would help fend off these pesky hard water deposits from collecting again so soon?

ANSWER:

Holly, hard water build up is an ongoing maintenance issue, so there isn't anything you can do to prevent it occurring since you are always using water, but you can remove it and keep it from building up with PRISTINE Soap Film/Hard Water Remover.... most effective product for stone.

To remove long-term build up it's best to spray on and let set for 5-10 minutes, then scrub with a soft bristle brush.

If you incorporate PRISTINE into your regular granite countertop care routine you should be able to easily eliminate or at least minimize unsightly build up.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
