Remove Crazy Glue From Marble Table

by Lys
(Candler, NC, USA)

QUESTION:

How do you remove crazy glue from a white marble table top? Owned table for thirty years. Pride and joy. One inch thick, 32"W x 51"L. Spilled crazy glue on surface without realizing it. Spill is three inches by 1/4" square. Hard on surface, cannot seem to remove no matter the method.

Also, & unfortunately, recently dropped a salt shaker over table which caused a pock dent. Broke through initial surface, have quarter inch pock mark. Afraid will spread over time. How do I repair? Heart broken.

ANSWER:

To remove the crazy glue use a razor blade at a low angle so blade is almost parallel with the surface of the marble table and gently push into the glue.

Once all glue is removed from surface, soak and clean with acetone (not finger nail polish remover) to remove remaining residue.

For the pock mark...

You'll need to call a stone professional to come and fill the dent with Akemi... an adhesive that can be color-matched used on stone.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
