Plumber's Putty Marble Stain

QUESTION:

I didn't know you weren't supposed to use Plumber's Putty to install faucets, now there's a stain around them. What do I do now?

ANSWER:

Yeah, plumber's putty will stain marble. Usually you can get the stain out though with proper marble maintenance.

It's fairly easy, but requires a special process.
