Plastic Wrap Stain on Marble

QUESTION:
We bought a bathroom sink console and the top is made of marble. When we unwrapped it we noticed the plastic wrapping left line marks on the marble. What should I use to get it off.
QUESTION:
Well, it's hard to say what the culprit is and thus what the solution should be.
I'd say first try cleaning the marble with acetone. Acetone won't damage the marble at all, but it will remove any surface grease, gunk, film or whatever the plastic wrap left on it.
If the acetone does not clean it, then I'd guess somehow the plastic, some chemical in the plastic or something on the plastic etched the marble.
Etching occurs when an acid compound contacts marble corroding the surface leaving dull and sometimes discolored marks.
To repair/remove etch marks use
SCP: Marble Polishing Paste.
I'll bet it's likely one or the other, but if neither work then the only other option to consider is a stain, but that's not likely since a stain occurs from something absorbing into the pores
below the surface.
