Pet Urine on Shiny Carrara Marble

by Shanna
(Bethlehem, CT)

QUESTION:

The dog went to the bathroom on my shiny Carrara marble floor after wiping it up it has left a dark spot, what can I do about this?

ANSWER:

I'm sure the urine has etched your marble, which will create a dull spot. If the spot is "darker" then the urine has also stained the marble.

You'll have to remove the stain first, then repair the etching.

For the etching you'll need MB-11 Marble Polishing Powder to get the shine back.

For the stain: you'll have to perform a multi-step procedure. It's easy, but it's the only way.

You'll find step-by-step instructions in the How To Remove Stains guide.

After you get the stain out, use the MB-11 to fix the etching.

You may prefer getting our Cleaning Marble Secrets Guide that not only covers etching and staining, but everything else that will help you solve and avoid problems and keep your marble looking good.

Good Luck,
Ryan

P.S. granite countertop cleanerI highly recommend MB Stone Care Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle) but found MB Stone Care is the most reliable and effective.
