Pet Urine Marble Stain

QUESTION:
White marble floor tiles with greyish veins through it. My dog urinated on the tiles. I wiped it up and then used warm water and dried it, but I can see a dark stain like the tile is still wet. How can I get this stain out?
ANSWER:
Urine is acidic, so it has etched your marble tile which is physical surface damage. Marble is made of calcium carbonate which reacts with acids. This can happen in seconds. Your dog may have stained it some too.
Most marble stains can be removed, but not by conventional methods. You'll find how to remove all types of marble stains (the correct ways) in the
Removing Granite & Marble Stains e-book.
Once the stain is gone, you'll have to fix the etching.
Now... is your marble polished or honed?
For polished marble buy the
ETCH REMOVER / Marble polishing paste.
Follow the directions and this should restore the shine reasonably well.
If your marble is honed, then you can't use the above product, but you can still do-it-yourself inexpensively following the steps in the
Removing Etch Marks e-book.
Good Luck,
Ryan
