Oil Stain on White Marble Kitchen Countertop

QUESTION:
I have recently made a cooking oil stain on my white marble kitchen countertop. How can I remove it?

ANSWER:
White marble is certainly gorgeous and a great stone to put just about anywhere UNLESS you want it to look pristine forever, because it won't.

Marble will age beautifully, but it will reveal the life that's been lived on it... spots and all. That's why it is generally not recommened for use in the kitchen.

Luckily, cleaning marble stains is simple and stains are rarely permenant.

You're going to apply a poultice. A poultice is simply and absorbing agent (talc/baby powder, paper towels, baking soda, diatomaceous earth)... which can be the same for every/any stain... mixed with a chemical that is appropriate for removing the substance that caused the stain.

You'll find complete step-by-step instructions for cleaning marble stains of all types in the Removing Granite & Marble Stains e-book.

Good luck and please report back your results via the comments link.

Good Luck,
Ryan
