Marble Vanity Top Black Bag Stain

QUESTION:

My vanity top isn't marble, I don't think. I'm sure it came from Home Depot etc. I set a black bag down which apparently a can of hair spray spilled inside. When I picked up the bag the next morning, I have black stains from the bag on the vanity. What can I use to get it off?

ANSWER:

Marble actually does not stain easy, but if something is left overnight, that could do it.

Luckily marble stains and stains in stone are rarely permanent and fairly easy to remove, however, regular cleaning methods won't work.
