Marble Top Turned Black

by Fran Berkowitz
(Boynton Beach, FL)

QUESTION:

My marble top in my master bathroom has turned black near the sink. I would like to know what I can do to restore it to its natural color.

ANSWER:

Fran, I'd love to provide a solution, but I have no idea why your marble "turned" black.

What color is your marble?

Over how many days, weeks, years did this occur?

Where near the sink? Could it be mold?

If so, use BLAST Mildew Remover to safely clean it.

Did something stain it?

If so, follow the step-by-step instructions in the Removing Stains Manual for marble maintenance.

If you can provide more specific details (via the comment link below), I'll do my best to provide a solution, but "turning black" is not a common issue with cleaning marble.

Regards,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
