Marble Table Casserole Pan Burn

by Sonoran Woman
(Tucson)

QUESTION:

Ah yes, the gorgeous marble table that is a zillions years old has now been marred. By me, of course, trying to use it for a "side table" during a large dinner. I had a trivet under the casserole pan, but alas, when removed it shown a burn "ring" that is impossible to remove.

Advice, other than having it professionally sanded and resealed?

ANSWER:

Hmmmm.... this one puzzles me a bit. Used a trivet with a casserole pan that probably wasn't that hot... not hot off a flame anyway and then a burn ring.

Is the ring dark and discolored? Or is it just a noticeable area that maybe looks dull or slightly off color?

Without seeing it, it's hard to say what actually happened there and what would be the best course of action.

On second thought, whatever happened it damaged the surface, so I'm betting that marble polishing powder will solve the problem.

I recommend using MB-11 Marble Polishing Powder... follow link under 'countertop care.'

Give that a shot and report back via the comment link below.

Good Luck,
Ryan

granite countertop cleanerI highly recommend MB Stone Care Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle) but found MB Stone Care is the most reliable and effective.
