Marble Sealing Mistake

QUESTION:
My usually brilliant wife mistakenly applied a stone sealer to our new polished marble table top. As mentioned in an earlier reply, it did dry on the surface, and has left hazy streaks across the entire surface. What "nasty" chemicals do we need to fix this?
ANSWER:
First try using acetone to strip off the marble sealer. Pour the acetone onto the marble, let it sit a bit, scrub with a soft-scrub brush and wipe completely dry.
If that doesn't work, use methylene chloride, which is nasty.
The sooner you try to strip the sealer off the better and easier it will come off and be sure to protect cabinets and walls, etc. from the solvents.
Good Luck,
Ryan
