Marble Floor Vomit Stain
QUESTION:
marble floor stained by pet vomit.
ANSWER:
Vomit may absorb and leave a marble stain, but it usually also etches the marble leaving a dull spot.
If the marble is honed, then you may not notice the etch mark as much as on a polished marble floor.
If you have both etching and staining (a darker spot), then you'll need to remove the stain first, repair the etch mark second.
To remove marble stains follow the instructions in the
Removing Granite & Marble Stains ebook. It's easy and cheap to do, but the method depends on what stained the marble.
Just FYI... there isn't a product you can buy to spray and wipe/scrub away a stain. Marble stains are below the surface, so regular cleaning methods don't work.
To repair etch marks on polished marble you can use the
Marble Polish / Etch Remover made just for this purpose. Very easy to use and effective.
On honed marble though you'll have to follow the procedure detailed in the
Removing Etch Marks ebook since, again, no product available to repair etching on a honed surface.
You may consider the
Cleaning Marble Secrets ebook, which contains all the info of the two ebooks above plus a whole bunch more about marble maintenance and DIY solutions.
Good Luck,
