Marble Fireplace Cleaning

by William Maurice
(Surbiton Surrey England)

QUESTION:

I have a white marble fireplace and after years of smoke etc. I wish to clean it but how can I do this without costing tons of money? Thank You.

ANSWER:

If you have extensive smoke damage you may have to hire a marble maintenance pro to clean and restore the marble, but in most cases you'll be able to do it yourself.

The process and techniques will vary depending on whether the marble is polished or honed.

You'll find complete step-by-step instructions for cleaning marble fire and smoke damage in the Removing Stains Manual.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
