Lime Juice Ring on Marble Coffee Table
QUESTION:
How do you get a lime juice ring from a glass out?
ANSWER:
I assume that the marble coffee table is polished (shiny).
If so, then a good marble polishing powder like
MB-11 Marble Polish will remove it unless it is really severe, but typically MB-11 works very well.
However, if the marble is honed (not shiny) then the MB-11 won't work.
For honed marble you'll need to get the complete step-by-step instructions in our marble maintenance manual
Cleaning Marble Secrets to remove the etch mark.
If you don't know, lime juice and any other acidic food, drink, substance will "etch" marble. That is, the acid will corrode or eat away a little bit of the surface marble exposing raw marble.
This is most noticeable on polished marble. So, always use coasters to prevent in the future.
Again, if polished the MB-11 will do the trick.
