Jewelry Cleaner Etched Marble

QUESTION:

My jewelry cleaner solution leaked on my marble countertop and has left a huge etch. The marble is beige and the etch is large and white. What can I do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Jessica

ANSWER:

Sounds like you know about etching Jessica, which is a particular marble maintenance issue that occurs when acidic substance contacts the marble.

Can also occur from using the wrong cleaning products... most common cleaners are too harsh for cleaning marble.

Anyway... to fix the etch marks use SCP: Marble Polishing Paste. This product is very easy to use and will quickly restore the color and shine.
