How long can I expect my marble countertop to last?

ANSWER:

Longer than you will without a doubt. (:

It's stone. Nothing you do to it will wear it out. Now depending on how you use it and care for it, the look may change... it may become more worn looking, but it's not going to fall apart or somehow become un-usable.

And if it ever does get unsightly all you have to do is have it re-surfaced / re-polished and it will look brand new.
