Etching On Kitchen Marble

QUESTION:

I have etching on my kitchen marble. Marble color is creama marfil. What should I do?

ANSWER:

Sounds like you know what etching is. Created by contact with acidic substances and/or the wrong cleaning products that are too harsh for marble.

Etching creates dull spots by corroding the shiny polished layer.

To remove the etch marks use SCP- Marble Polishing Paste.

It's very easy to use and will restore the shine and color.

Just so you know, sealing will not prevent this... a common misconception. You need to avoid contact by using coasters, trivets, mats and the proper cleaning products for marble.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
