Etched Bathroom Marble Care

by Marija Pocrnic
(Toronto, Canada)

QUESTION:

I need advice on how to restore my marble. It has so many etchings, it's horrible! It's a brand new countertop. Please help!

ANSWER:

Many bath products are acidic and will etch marble. Not to worry though... most often etch marks can be repaired and the shine restored using a good marble polishing compound like SCP- Marble Polishing Paste.

Unfortunately, it might be hard to find in Canada and we don't ship to Canada (yet) because of the expense and hassle of customs/duties.

We want to of course and are working on a solution, but for now I'd suggest calling your local stone warehouse or some local fabricators and get recommendations for a good marble polishing compound for etching.

Most products you see in the store that say "marble polish" are just topical dressings made to enhance a shine, but won't fix etching at all.

Regards,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
