Dull Marble Vanity Top Stains
by Anna

QUESTION:
My countertop seems to have water stains that cause it to look dull in spots - I can't seem to get rid of them - please help!!
ANSWER:
The "water stains" you have are not actually stains. They are "etch marks" caused by corrosion from contact with acidic food, drinks or products.
The acids eat at the marble removing the shiny layer leaving a dull and discolored spot.
Totally different than stains and sealing won't prevent etching. You must prevent contact with acids using coasters or decorative trays for your toiletry products, etc.
Also, be sure to use only
products safe for cleaning marble.
The good news is that etch marks can be removed using
SCP: Marble Polishing Paste, which is designed specifically for this and will restore the shine and color.
Very easy to use... just rub the compound on the area.
Good Luck,
Ryan
