Dull Lemonade Marble Stain

by andrea
(derbyshire)

QUESTION:

hi ive spilled lemonade on my cream marble hearth and its gone dull is there anything that can be done to remove the stain?

ANSWER:

Lemonade is acidic like many foods and drinks. Acids will corrode marble, damage the finish and leave dull and discolored spots... it's called "etching" and its a known marble maintenance issue.

To remove/repair etch marks we recommend using SCP: Marble Polishing Paste....best product out there for restoring the shine and cleaning marble dull etch marks.

One thing though... it's available only in the US.

I'd suggest contacting local marble fabricators, marble maintenance professionals or stone warehouses for a recommendation of a etch remover that can be purchased locally.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
