Dark Green Marble Vanity Top Stain

QUESTION:
A can of proactiv was left on the marble countertop for about 20 minutes leaving a whitish colored ring. The active ingredient in proactiv is benzoyl peroxide, which is what I assume caused the discoloration...this happened about four days ago... how can I remove?
ANSWER:
The whitish ring is not actually a stain. It's an "etch mark."
Etching is a form of corrosion that occurs when an acidic and/or too alkaline substance contacts the marble. The acids eats into the marble surface causing a dull and often lighter discoloration.
It's physical damage to your countertop. A stain occurs when a substance is absorbed into the marble countertop and creates a
darker spot.
I'm assuming your marble is polished (shiny), so you'll need
MB-11 Marble Polishing Powder to repair the damage.
It's simple to use.
