Color Marker Stain on Travertine Top

by Berry
(Dallas, TX)

QUESTION:

My grandsons colored on my travertine marble top with a green color marker. How can I get it out? The marble has never been sealed.

ANSWER:

Cleaning marble stains from a permanent marker can be difficult. Common methods won't work since the ink gets below the surface.

However, you can usually clean marble ink stains using the step-by-step instructions in the Removing Marble Stains Manual.

You may have to repeat the process a few times, but you'll be able to see your progress and just keep at it until the travertine stain is removed.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
