Cleaning Tumbled Marble Shower Floors

QUESTION:
I have a tumbled marble shower floor. It has become "white" in the corners. What can I do to get it back to its original color?
ANSWER:
The "white" in the corners is either etching from using cleaning products that damage and dull marble or from a build-up of soap film or hard water.
Whichever it is, it's a bit weird that you notice it only in the corners.
My guess is if you look more closely you'll see it elsewhere.
To determine which it is, scratch at a "white" area with your fingernail and see if anything comes off and/or leaves a mark. Looking at an angle sometimes helps see this better.
If so and it's soft, you have soap scum and should use
PRISTINE Soap Film Remover to clean it.
If the substance is more crusty, then it's hard water and you can still use the PRISTINE... very good for hard water too.
If nothing comes off, then I can only guess that it is etching, which is typically not too noticeable on tumbled (vs polished) marble.
If it's etching, then you'll have to follow the instructions in the
Removing Etch Marks Manual.
Without seeing it or having a more detailed description I can't be more specific, but I'd bet it's soap film or hard water and the Pristine will take care of it.
Good Luck,
Ryan
