Cleaning New Marble Installation

QUESTION:

Bathroom marble was just installed and there's a "film" that you can see from an angle when the light shines on it. I tried wiping down with clear water with a sponge but the film still appears. It's probably from the grout application. Any hints to get it shining?

ANSWER:

Clean the surface with acetone. It won't damage anything and should do the trick. If acetone does not clean it then get your installer back to fix it.

If it is grout film, then removing it may cause damage to the polish and require re-finishing, so make them do it.

Good Luck,
Ryan
