Cleaning Marble Vanity Top Ring Stains

by Vicki Hunt
(Burlington, NC)

QUESTION:

How do I get rid of ring stains from my beige marble vanity tops?

ANSWER:

The "ring stains" are not actually stains where something has absorbed into the marble.

What you have are "etch marks" from contact with an acid food/drink, bath product or harsh alkaline cleaning product.

The acids corrode the marble eating away the shiny surface layer creating a dull and sometimes lighter colored spot.

To remove these etch marks you'll need to use a special compound like SCP- Marble Polishing Paste, which I find works the best.

It's easy to use and will remove the rings restoring the shine and color.

Good Luck,
Ryan

I highly recommend Stone Care Pro Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle, MB) but found Stone Care Pro is the most reliable and effective and cheaper too!
