Cleaning Marble Finish On Bathroom Vanity
QUESTION:
I have a marble finish countertop in my bathroom...what is the best method for cleaning it? I heard that car wax works great, but what about everyday cleaning?
ANSWER:
Car wax can be applied without without much harm, but it isn't for cleaning marble. It's just that it can be buffed to enhance the shine a bit.
However, it's certainly not the best product for this and I don't recommend it. Surface waxes can become problematic when constantly applied to marble. The wax builds up requiring stripping, can start to look ratty and can turn yellow and your marble yellow. It just increases the marble maintenance needs.
If you want to enhance the shine, then I recommend using
DAZZLE Polish... a non-wax surface dressing.
For regular cleaning you certainly want to use only products made for marble.
Stone PLUS Cleaner is the best out there in my opinion and cheaper than most too. It dries streak-free and has optical brighteners to make your stone look great... excellent product.
You can also get it in a new
Stone PLUS Concentrate Value Kit to save you money and save the environment from more bottles, etc.
