Choosing A Marble Bathroom Countertop

by Patti
(Southern Calif.)

QUESTION:

We will soon be remodeling our master bath. We recently ate dinner at a restaurant which had very interesting and beautiful table tops. The owner said is was raw marble - it was white with various shades of brown. The surface was very textured and really attractive. We would consider this product for our bath. Would that work?

ANSWER:

Yes, that would work, however you don't want a surface that is too rough or it will collect dirt and be difficult to clean.

A non-polished marble surface will not show etch marks (good!) although that is not as big an issue in a bathroom as it is in a kitchen.

Not too many worries about stains in a bathroom, but a "raw" or rough surface is much more porous than polished, so you should seal it well.

Have Fun,
Ryan

granite countertop cleanerI highly recommend MB Stone Care Products to maintain all your marble, stone and granite countertops and floors in optimal condition. I've used other good products (Stone Tech, Miracle) but found MB Stone Care is the most reliable and effective.
