Black tumbled marble water spots & urine spots

QUESTION:
We have black tumbled marble in our bathroom. Where we step out of the shower, there are dark spots from where the water drips from where we stand. There are also dark spots around the toilet from urine. Our water is not 'hard' water...we've had the hardness tested. But, the dark spots are only where we stand when getting out the shower. How do we get both these and the urine spots out and keep them out?
ANSWER:
The dark spots around the toilet are stains. Urine can both etch and stain marble.
Etching is a chemical reaction between the marble and the acid in urine that corrodes the marble.
Usually etching will leave dull, lighter colored spots, but it is not very noticeable on tumbled marble.
Dark spots are stains... something absorbed into the marble. And you are saying that there are permanent dark spots outside the shower from water??
Very odd, because water will not stain or harm marble (unless saturated and constantly exposed to water). Water will not stain. It will temporarily of course, but once it evaporates the "stain" is gone.
So, it has to be something else.
Nonetheless, you'll find the solutions for removing stains, removing etch marks and all the "how to" information you'll ever need to prevent and maintain your marble properly in the
